About
The Incahoots cattery started twenty years ago, when, I bought my first Golden Persian queen with the intention of breeding "just the one litter!", the rest is history as they say.
All Incahoots cats live in clean comfortable surroundings which includes their own safe enclosed garden. Only the best quality foods are used and all meat and fish is intended for human consumption. The kittens are all born and raised in the home, by an experienced caring committed breeder.
The kittens are fully vaccinated and ready to go to new homes when they are thirteen weeks old. They all would have a five generation pedigree, vaccination record, feeding guide and six weeks free insurance.
The beauty of the long haired cat is of course the long flowing coat, but left neglected nothing looks worse. It becomes painful for the cat as the fur knots together, eventually, restricting movement. Grooming will only take five minutes or so if its done regularly. Your most useful tool will be a wide toothed comb with no more than ten teeth to the inch. All new owners will be shown how the kitten has been groomed. Advice and guidance is always at hand.
Please do not choose a long haired cat if you are not prepared to groom every day.

Grooming Longhair Cats
Buying a longhaired cat is a big undertaking. Unlike normal “moggies” that often need little or no brushing, a longhair requires daily grooming or the coat will tend to clump and matt until it becomes so entangled it will require cutting with scissors or a trip to the vet. Cat owners know that hairballs are a problem, regular grooming can significantly reduce the amount of hair licked by cats, and thereby reduce the hairball problem. As you may know, cats were equipped with an abrasive tongue to perform some grooming, but it is not the same as an overall beneficial grooming. More...
